With everything people in leadership roles are responsible for – specifically executive leaders – it means something when quality leaders give a damn / care about the people in their organization.
It matters when quality executives leaders :
- Care to listen and understand
- Care about what happens to individuals
- Care about how each person is treated
- Care about each person succeeding – having the proper tools to proficiently perform their jobs
- Care to hold unethical managers , including human resources and legal , accountable for misusing and abusing their power
Genuinely THANK YOU to all quality [ effective ] leaders!
- Thank You for accepting a leader role for the right reasons – to effectuate positive change and differences [ for each person you are responsible for leading, representing or protecting and with the organization in mind ], not just for money and power
- Thank You for being reasonable and consistently doing what is right, fair, and just –specifically long before complaints, law suits, movements, protests, etc. are on the rise
- Thank You for giving a damn [ caring / C.A.R.E.’g ] about each person you are responsible for leading, representing or protecting
- Thank You for not misusing and abusing your authority & power, and ensuring that other people in positions of authority and power don’t either
- Thank You for taking care of yourself and being the best you, so you are better able to do your very best
- Thank You for self-correcting / self-adjusting; after all, all of us are human, thus fallible
- Thank You for having a good heart; hence doing and giving from your heart, never expecting anything in return
- Whether you are able to relate or not OR like the person(s) or not, Thank You for digging in to address uncomfortable issues and tough topics, instead of being dismissive, conflict-avoidant or blackballing people
- At any stage in their career, when switching careers and when needing a fresh start, Thank You for giving people their first job opportunity
- When tough payroll cut decisions have to be made, Thank You for cutting yours and the salaries of other executives and management first
- Because people think differently but some might be timid or not recognized by their manager, Thank You for seeking untapped talent and blessing those people with fair opportunities instead of suppressing talent
- Thank You for surrounding yourself with a diverse group of people who are smarter than you and actively listening to them
- Thank You for asking the right questions, especially in times of crisis, instead of making myopic decisions that lead to bigger issues and confusion
- Thank You for sagaciously taking the high road, demonstrating character, integrity, ethics and self-control
- Thank you for helping out and getting your hands dirty
- Thank You for uniting people and teams, instead of poisoning them by showing favoritism, forming cliques or inflicting dissension to divide
- Given Your extremely busy schedule and arduous job, Thank You for your transparency, open-door policy, and for making yourself available to people

- Given that people cause some, or most, of their own problems in life, Thank You for knowing the difference and for your sage advice to help get us back on the right track & fighting the battles that are beyond our control
- Thank You for ensuring that diversity (age, gender, race, talent, appearance) exists at each leadership layer in your organization or department
- Thank You for seeing your employees as people/ human beings with feelings and emotions, instead of a warehouse of disposable resources
- Thank You for ensuring that pay disparity between employees performing the same or similar roles is extremely small or non-existent
- Thank You for being an enabler, ensuring that all people have the proper tools to proficiently perform their jobs; instead of being a blocker that prevents the right quality work from being completed as fast as possible
- Thank You for setting up all people for success, instead of failure
- Thank You for actively listening, seeking to understand, and being a part of sustainable solutions; instead of sending disturbing messages that the mistreatment of employees is allowed, or turning a blind-eye and doing nothing
- Thank You for designing sustainable guard rails to eradicate, non-sense, bureaucracy , feckless leaders and workplace bullying [ bad bosses]
- Thank You for holding human resources accountable for protecting workers against feckless leaders, bully [ bad ] bosses, instead of allowing HR and Legal to hide behind “at-will-state” policies or pouring their energy in getting rid of whistle-blowers and people who stand up for themselves
- Thank You for not retaliating against whistle-blowers, people who stand up for themselves, disagree with you or call you out on your bullshit, and for ensuring that other leaders and human resources do not retaliate either
- Thank You for properly coaching and mentoring people who want to transition into leader roles for the right reasons [ want to effectuate positive change and differences for each person they are responsible for leading]
- Thank You for getting rid of futile performance reviews, and focusing more on Team work delivery; building the right, quality thing fast
- Thank You for supporting personal reputations of individuals who strive to produce their best work – you know that personal brands are just as important as the company’s reputation/ brand
- Thank You for not putting profits before people, and knowing that the productive people are one of the main reasons profits exist
You all – Quality [ effective ] Leaders, having a good heart, character and integrity – are greatly appreciated!
