However, what is effective [ quality ]leadership?
People have their own thoughts about what effective [ quality ] leadership is.
Here are a few factors that are likely considered when defining effective [quality] leadership:
- Leadership qualities
- Responsibilities of leaders
- Expectations of leaders
- How leaders respond ( to their personal issues, to the needs of the people, to conflict, to business needs )
- Impacts leaders make on the people they are responsible for leading and on their organization
- Guidance needed from leaders
- Ownership and accountability of leaders
As stated in my self-refinement book In the Game: Careers & Executives, I define effective (quality) leadership as: Consistently effectuating positive differences and change.
A leader effectuating positive change and difference begins with who the person is as an individual and ends with ownership of outcomes under their leadership.
